This time of year can be a real pain to work on the buses in. Too wet to work outside, too cold to paint inside, virtually dark after 3 o'clock in the afternoon... I do wonder if we have the preservation year round the wrong way sometimes? Let me explain. The summer months are better for working on vehicles with more daylight, warmth and enthusiasm all-round, but we can commit to heavy overhauls on buses that are on the road due to running days, shows etc. Looking at the popularity of the old Heart of the Pennines and the January 1st Winchester running day, there is definately a market for riding preserved buses in the cold, dark (even wet!) winter months. The downside would be I'd need to sort the heating out on ours...
Just a reminder about our YouTube channel. Please pay it a visit, we've started putting up video blogs showing the behind the scenes work at HQ on our buses. Check them out and please subscribe too so you don't miss out.

We've been experiencing a few technical issues with our website lately, hopefully this is now sorted out.
We're already planning for next year with what vehicles to use at what shows, a full list of shows that SCOC will attend will be available in the new year. I hoping that one of the Metrocab taxis will be available for some of the long distance shows. Although not buses (duh really?) they still form part of the collection and help extend our range with their fuel consumption.
