7664 (XJJ664V) visits Southsea.
I managed to recover most of the pictures from my Fotopic site just before Christmas. If you were affected by the crash, you should receive an email soon telling you how to gain access. As this bit of our website is built to replace Fotopic, I thought I would put some of them up, starting with the 2001 Southsea Spectacular Bus Rally. This much missed show would be held on Southsea Common overlooking The Spithead and Isle Of Wight and attracted many vehicles from around the southeast. This particular year I took East Kent 7664 (XJJ664V) which had been loaned to Thanet garage from Dover. This proved to SEK's last active VR and went on to work with Clynnog & Trefor in Wales before being exported to the USA in 2008. I painted the wheels blue especially for that day (much to the annoyance of the engineering manager!) and we had a really good day out. I later had the job of taking 7664 back to Dover later that week and I took my camera along to capture my last drive of a SEK VR in service.
