5137 at Sellindge Steam Rally 28th & 29th May 2011.
After spending the Friday beforehand working on Nuw and converting 5137's batteries from four 6v to two 12v units I took her to work with me on the Saturday where she rubbed shoulders with Kent Top Travel's Enviros, Volvo B7s and B9s. That evening when I finished, we fuelled up in Canterbury and headed down Stone Street towards Sellindge. Arriving on the showground we set about making the bed and putting the lighting up. As an experiment we decided to make the bed on the rear side seats instead of in the footwell between them. This proved to a very comfortable decision and will be done at all the other shows too. We also tried a slow cooker on the inverter to see if we could cook that way but alas it didn't work. Back to the gas cooker! The 28th had been quite overcast, windy and gloomy and the 29th dawned overcast too but this soon cleared and gave us a fairly bright day, if still very windy.
