Just a reminder that today, our sister site has been updated with news on 3131, 7681, 5137 and 5807. Also a new YouTube video has been added, a link to which is below.
The report for this fantastic weekend is now up on line. You can read it HERE. 3131 ran very well over the two day event and proved to be very economical with the fuel. Don't forget, 3131 will be attending the Hastings Bus Rally at The Oval, Hastings this Sunday (20th May).
No really a video OF the coach but more of a video FROM the coach. This was filmed from the back window of 3131 as she headed to Wood's of Aylesham for a project by her owner, Bernard.
Bernard's Bristol LH coach was given a wash and brush up last Friday (17th September) and checked for the MOT which is in the first week of next month. All seems to be ok apart from one wiper and a bulb in the reversing lights. I took her for a test run to check the brakes/clutch etc and again she seems pretty good. Obviously when it comes to things like brake balance and kingpins, with our limited equipment, only the test can highlight any real problems. Pictures to follow.
As stated in the Picture of the Month Western National Bristol LH 3131 has arrived at her new home in east Kent. She is being kept under cover at the East Kent Heritage Garage in Sandwich, where Bernard is hoping to take another space for rotation of one of the other buses. Coupled to the space that DMS550 is using at the moment and that should give us 3 undercover spaces - better than what we've got right now. This will mean we can rotate and 'shop' that need bodywork (Nuw, 1178 and 7980).
I am pleased to report that ex Western/Southern National Bristol LH / Plaxton Supreme AFJ692T will be joining the fleet soon. She is fully restored and carries the fleet number 3131. Bernard actually bought her a few months back but we've found it hard to find time to collect her from her current storage in the Southwest. She is our first coach and carries on the Bristol (BCV) theme in our collection as well as the Southwest theme (along with NUW the Titan). I am hoping to pick her up for Bernard in the next few weeks. More information and pictures then.
